Our Story
Ceramication was founded on 9 August 2020 with the mission to record and immortalise Singapore's culture on porcelain for generations to come.
Our hexagonal form embodies unity in diversity: each individual – regardless of race, language, religion or ability – fits into the whole seamlessly.
Working with persons with disabilities since 2022, Ceramication successfully obtained social enterprise status and registered as a member of raiSE in 2025.
We work closely with i'mable Collective, an initiative by SG Enable that develops training and employment pathways in the design and arts sectors for persons with disabilities, offering them opportunities ranging from gig work to longer-term roles through collaborations with creatives, businesses, and community partners.

Social Impact Partners
Ceramication's first pilot on inclusive employment was initiated by i'mable Collective in 2024. That early work has grown into a formal partnership with THK Disability Services under an MOU signed in 2025, with Ceramication now co-located at THK Home @ Jurong East.
Each partner brings complementary expertise to this collaboration. Ceramication contributes its craft in high-quality heritage porcelain, while THK provides occupational support and infrastructure. This synergy creates an environment where persons with intellectual disabilities with moderate to high support needs – facing some of the steepest barriers to economic and social participation – can work comfortably and safely in a familiar place.
This pioneering collaboration reframes the societal role of persons with intellectual disabilities, from care recipients to cultural contributors.

Unity in Diversity
Food is the language of love. Sharing a meal together is how generations of Singaporeans convey their love to the people most precious to them. One day, while enjoying dinner with his family, Ceramication founder Rayn Leow noticed that his nephew was dropping morsels of food all over the table. This evoked a whimsical idea of hexagonal tableware.
The more thought he gave to it, the more the idea had merit. Hexagons form a perfect network with zero distance between unique individuals, leaving no wasted space. Because of its structural stability, it is a recurring geometry abounding in both science and nature, from the configuration of atoms in the molecular structure of clay particles to cells in a honeycomb.
Hexagon thus became the governing design philosophy of his pottery company, Ceramication. It symbolises love between partners, families and communities. It is about inclusivity — one can be of a different colour and still fit in a network perfectly. Yet it also celebrates liberation: an individual should have the right to be who he or she is.
As a pottery maker in Singapore, Ceramication seeks to create beautiful yet functional tableware and décor pieces that serve as a medium with which Singaporeans can express their gratitude, devotion and love to one another. Every Ceramication piece is handcrafted, a hallmark of thoughtful design.
Our Origins
A multiracial and multifaith society, it is the norm in Singapore to consume foods from many different cultures at one sitting.
